Billy has been involved with the wonderful game of golf for most of his life and comes from a notable golfing family. His sister, Megan, is an LPGA professional, and his father, Bill Sr. was a PGA Professional as well.
Billy began playing golf when he was 8 years old. As an avid junior golfer, he competed in and won many local, regional and national tournaments. Billy also enjoyed a prosperous amateur career while playing NCAA Division I Golf at Winthrop University. After graduation, he turned professional and began working as a golf instructor at Delcastle Golf Club in Wilmington, DE.
Billy is now the Head Golf Professional at Chisel Creek Golf Club. Billy has spent the past 9 years as a golf professional and is a PGA Class ‘A’ Professional.
Kevin Wilmer, Assistant Golf Professional
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin started playing golf at age 12 and quickly developed a passion for the game. After high school, Kevin served in the United States Air Force where he thrived on his squadron golf team, winning 3 Base Championships. He was selected to represent the Holloman AFB Golf Team and was able to travel the country competing against other bases. After his enlistment, Kevin knew he wanted to become a golf professional and began pursuing his dream of becoming a Class A PGA Professional. Kevin began his golfing career at Dick’s Sporting Goods working as a club technician focusing on club repair and establishing relationships with industry professionals. Kevin was the Assistant Golf Professional at Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland for the past 3 years before recently moving to Delaware with his new wife Loraynne. Kevin is joining the Professional Team at Chisel Creek for 2011 and hopes to be able to share his enthusiasm and knowledge of golf with his new students and many others along the way.
